Homeopathy isn’t the traditional go-to solution for teenage growing pains. My brief was to determine how far the new brand should diverge from Bioherb’s main brand, and create a compelling commercial proposition for a buyer pitch to Sprouts.

Our approach is to make natural remedies accessible and relatable to teenagers, within the cultural context of highly active and engaged generation just coming-of-age. Leveraging a personality that’s about teaching, rather than telling, empathising rather than prescribing, Bioherb’s ‘sage’ personality connects with Gen Z’s quest for empowerment over their minds, bodies and the planet.

We created a brand identity, packaging designs and illustrations for Bioherb. In order to create the illustrations, we drew each element of the face separately by using acrylic. We then combined them and came up with these final character designs. Just like in real life, there are endless way of drawing eyes, noses, and arrangement of hair, and infinite possibilities of combining them. This design process is just a reflection of the real life.
